A new car wash will be constructed on South Transit Road after approval of a variance by the town Zoning Board of Appeals last week. The site at 6719 S. Transit Road, owned by Craig Heidemann, is just north of Bartz Road. The Zoning Board of Appeals passed a variance from the rules for front and rear setbacks from the property lines
Why do I bring it up? Because I've always hoped for a full service Delta Sonic to find its way to Lockport. It is a local WNY business that would fit nicely in the Lockport area.

Was actually hoping that the old car dealership at Transit and Robinson would be taken over/bought/converted by Delta Sonic ..
Would be a perfect place for a FULL SERVICE car wash/detail shop. There the room do to do it ..
Thought that was one of the original plans a while back for that property.
OH wait.. may not be able to to that .. cause of the "Bay wash" there near/next to Carsons.. might make too much competition.. oh also since Benderson "owns " delta sonic .. hmmmmm might be also too much competition for Ulrich .. and or Granchelli.

A delta sonic is not a full service , most people think they are. Just go to Walmart for oil change then go to Leaderhouse for car wash. Delta Sonic = Chinese oil filters + kids changing oil + plus corporate selling unnesseray maintinace
Walmart uses American made filters? really? A new business is still a new business and more jobs. The walmart oil change dept wont leave just because a Delta Sonic comes to town. and Competition for the local Car wash wont hurt either

ACTUALLY, there are MANY places where Delta Sonic IS a FULL SERVICE. There are many branches that have a car wash, detail shop, gas station, rust proofing AND Oil change.
Regarding Leaderhouse. NO THANKS. from me as well as quite a few people I know that have gone there for car washes, inspections or other wise.
Car Wash specifically, DIRTY, GRIMY, NOT well maintained or outdated equipment(wash tunnel specifically) on more than one occasion I have heard from people , and I experienced MYSELF FIRST HAND their equipment has a tendency to SCRATCH vehicles. it was VERY APPARENT. (Look around, watch what is hitting your vehicle, the next time you get your car washed there)
They FLAT OUT DENIED that it happened at their establishment. Even with 100% PHYSICAL PROOF as well as multiple people in the vehicle.
Not to mention they CHARGE EXTRA for drying a vehicle !!!!!! Why ??? who knows.
Other places, even many bay washes, has MODERN EQUIPMENT, generally well maintained and not all that expensive.
So YOU TELL ME which establishment would you rather patronize ?

Mike Tucker walks into a bar......There's no punchline because you can't ruin already bad politics.
Mike Tucker is absolutely blind. Earlier in the Summer when the concerts were still going on he walked the side street of a parking lot I was in with some friends. I'd overheard him bitch out the attendant for people drinking in the lot. Funny thing is that not a soul was in there drinking. I feel bad for anyone who crossed his path during those concerts.
Worried about people drinking in a parking lot when some of the biggest drug dealers in Niagara County are right here within city limits? If he got his head out from between Ulrich's legs he might get the real picture.
You know what the funny part was? that lot belonged to Ulrich.
So the parking attendant is suppose to play police officer too? If King Tuck should have bitched someone out, it should have been some of those fat ass lazy cops that stand around during those concerts.
